Bakalowicz Vladislav (1833-1903).

Academician of historical painting, who is popular in Poland. Representative of the international academicism of the second half of the XIXth century. Author of numerous portraits of Polish gentlefolks, genre scenes and historical paintings. Many of his artworks devoted to literature subjects, such as A. Dumas "Three Musketeers". Since 1863 lived and worked in Paris. During 1865-1883 exhibited in the Paris Saloon.
