Volkov Alexander Vasilievich (1916-1978).

Moscow painter. Associate Professor of Painting at the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (formerly Stroganov). I studied at the Moscow Institute of Art with Sergei Gerasimov (1937-1942). Participant of exhibitions since 1943. He worked mainly in the genre of the Soviet thematic picture: "Liberation", "In the forge" , “Fresh Mail”, and the artist's works are kept in a number of regional museums in Russia. (Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Yaroslavl).
