Volkov Valentin Viktorovich

Volkov Valentin Viktorovich (1881−1964).

Belarusian artist, People's Artist of Belarus (1955). The author of the drawing of the emblem of the BSSR (1926 and 1938). He took part in art exhibitions since 1903. Worked in the genres of thematic paintings, portraits, painted landscapes, still lifes. Valentin Volkov came from a family of Russian artists, Orel province. In 1907 he graduated from the Penza Art School, after that he was admitted to the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. Member of All-Union exhibitions. The author's works are presented in many regional museums and in private collections.
