Vikhtinsky Viktor Ivanovich

Painter, graphic artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1934 - 1937 he studied at the Kharkov Art School. In 1950 he graduated from the Kharkov State Art Institute. Since the 1950s, he has participated in republican and all-Union exhibitions. He worked in the techniques of oil painting, etching, aquatint and lithography. He exhibited his works at foreign exhibitions: in Poland (1951, 1955, 1956), Venice (1956), Japan (1958). The artist’s personal exhibitions have been held in various cities of the Ukrainian SSR since 1968. Author of numerous graphic series, landscapes, paintings on genre and religious themes. The artist’s works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and other museums, as well as private collections.
