Vrubel Mikhail Aleksandrovich (1856, Omsk – 1910, St. Petersburg).

Academician. During 1880-1884 studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under P.P. Chistyakov, took lessons from I.E. Repin. Adored works of I.K. Ayvazovsky and V.M. Vasnetsov. Member of the World of Art Association. In 1903 founded the Union of Russian Artists. His works can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and many museums in Russia.
