Grigoriev Boris Dmitrievich (1886, Moscow -1939, Caen Sur Mer, France).
Studied at Stroganov Art-Industrial College (1903-1907) under D.A. Shcherbinovsky, at VHU under Academy of Arts in Petersburg under D.N. Kardovsky and A.A. Kiselev (1907-1912).
Worked in Petrograd (until 1919).
Became an exhibitioner since 1909. Exposed his works at exhibits of Avanguard art ("The Impressionists", "The Triangle"), "Comradeship of the Independent", "World of Art” (the artists became a member of the association since 1913).
In 1914-1918 he lived in Paris, where fie was finally set as an artist. He made illustrations to "Satirikon" magazine (1912-1913} and
"The New Satirikon". In 1919 he emigrated from Russia. In 1930-th, in America he created a cycle of portraits of Russian workers of culture "Faces of Russia". In 1928-1929 he gave classes at Academy of Arts in Santiago (Chile), and since 1930 - at his private school of arts close to Nice. The artists works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in I.I. Brodsky Museum-flat in St. Petersburg, in A.A. Gorky Museum in Moscow, in A.A. Bahrushin State Central Theatre Museum and many other foreign museums.
