Kogout (Kog) Nikolay (1891 - 1959, Moscow).

Russian graphic artist. One of the founders of the epic poster, which appeared during the civil war. In 1913 graduated from Stroganov Central College of Arts and Crafts, then VKHUTEMAS in Moscow. During the Civil war he worked in political departments of the Red Army (1918-1920). Collaborated with publishers of such magazines, as "Bezbozhnik u stanka" and "Dayosh". In 1944 worked in "Okna TASS". Known as an active worker of the “Agitplakat” creative and production association of the USSR Union of Artists.
