Komarov Vasiliy Ivanovich

Studied at Rozanov Drawing School in Moscow. Later on studied at Moscow School of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture under V.E. Makovskiy, V.D. Polenov, I.M. Pryashnikov. In 1891 awarded the title of a non-class artist. Holder of two small and one big silver medal. In 1912 visited Italy. Participated in exhibitions initiated by Academy of Arts, Moscow Society of Art Amateurs and Moscow Artists Partnership since 1888. Made illustrations to N.V. Gogol's works and M.Yu. Lermontov’s stories. The artist’s works are exposed in the Tretyakov State Gallery and in many regional museums.
