Luppov Sergey Mikhailovich (1893, Slobodskoy – 1977, Moscow).
He graduated from Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, qualified as a 1st Degree artist. He won a right for the subsidized travel abroad, but it was not accomplished. He was a pupil of N. Kasatkin, A. Arkhipov, A. Vasnetsov, K.A. Korovin. In 1918-1923 he worked in Slobodskoy, where he has organized a museum and art studio. Since 1923, he lived in Moscow, taught the graphic arts at the military school for commanding ranks. He was a member of the Artists of the Revolutionary Russia Association and participated in all its exhibitions, as well as in the exhibitions of the Artists’ Union of the USSR. The artist’s works are in the Russian State Museum, in picture galleries in many cities in Russia and other countries.
