Letyanin Victor Fyodorovich (born in 1921, Nizhniy Novgorod Region).
Honoured Artist of Russia, veteran of the World War II. The painter works in the realistic stile, preferring genre subjects. He studied at the State Art College (1938-1949) and at the Repin Institute of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1949-1955). He is the author of the series of painting on subjects from the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945. In 1957, he entered the Artists Union of Russia. Since 1955 he is a constant exponent of regional exhibitions. He also participated in zonal (Great Volga, 1967, 1974, 1985, 2003), republican (Moscow, 1957), and All-Union (Moscow, 1959) art exhibitions. His one-man shows were held in Nizhniy Novgorod in 1991 and 2002. The artist’s works are in the Nizhniy Novgorod Picture Gallery, in many regional museums.
