Mavrina Tatyana Alekseyevna (1902, Nizhny Novgorod – 1996, Moscow).
Honoured artist of RSFSR, the USSR state prize Winner (1975), Anderson International Prize Winner. In 1922-1929 studied in Higher State Art and Technical Studios/ Higher State Art and Technical Institute under R.R. Falk. Was a member of the group “Thirteen” (1929-1931). Worked much as a book artist (illustrated children books by A.S. Pushkin “Fairy-tale about the dead tsarevna and seven bogatyrs”, 1949; “Ruslan and Ludmila”, 1960; “U Lukomorya”, 1961, as well as collected stories “As if by magic”, 1958; “Russian Fairy-tales”, 1963, went in for chromolithography. The works of the artist are exhibited in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in the Museum of Personal Collections, in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
