Ricconi Aleksandr Ant

Ricconi Aleksandr Ant (1836 - 1902, Rome).

Academician and professor of the Academy of Arts. Entered the Imperial Academy of Arts, studied under professor B.P. Villevalde in 1852. Was awarded Big Silver Medal for the picture “The Italian organ-grinder in a tavern” and Big Golden Medal - for the picture "The auction in Lifland village”. Worked in Paris and Rome as the pensioner of the Academy. His works were gathered by a known Moscow collector K.S. Soldatenkov for his collection. A.A. Ricconi’s works are in State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and other museum collections.
