Spicyn Sergei Nikolaevich

Artist, painter, graphic artist. One of the prominent book and easel graphic artists of St. Petersburg. Laureate of the gold medal of the Academy of Arts (2003). A graduate of the Art School (1948) and the Academy of Arts (1954). Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1955. Permanent participant in city, zonal and all-Union exhibitions, exhibitions of easel and book graphics (over 200) and several group exhibitions abroad (Italy, USA, Mexico, Australia, Germany, England, France, Holland); including six personal. He worked in book graphics from 1954 to the 2000s. Since 1954 he began to work permanently with publishing houses: "Detgiz", "Lenizdat", "Goslitizdat", "Soviet Writer", "Children's Literature", etc.
