Skorikov Yuri Ivanovich

Honored artist of the RSFSR. In 1940 entered Kharkov art school. In 1946-1952 studied at the Academy of Arts under M.N. Avilov. After graduation was taken in post-graduate course under the direction of A. Gerasimov. Since 1954 member of the Union of artists. Regularly participated in all-union, republican and zonal exhibitions. Worked in the genre of historical painting. In 1956 created the first work from the series of “Taman campaign”. Gave lectures at the Academy of arts at the workshop of professor I.A. Serebryany. The works of the artist are exhibited in the Russian State Museum, in many regional museums.
