Takke Boris Aleksandrovich (1889 - 1951)

Russian Soviet artist, poster artist, graphic artist. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Participant of the "Jack of Diamonds" exhibition (1910). After the revolution, he worked as a graphic poster, and by request of the Petrograd Soviet, he designed the May Day celebrations. He taught at the school of F. Rerberg, then at the Communist University. Sverdlov. He actively participated in exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, the society “Zhar-tsvet”, the Society of Realist Artists. Led a workshop with artists, animators. The artist's works - mainly portraits of leaders and large canvases on the themes of Soviet heroics - were presented at exhibitions of the 15th anniversary of the Komsomol (1934) and “20th Anniversary of the Red Army” (1938). A member of the Moscow Union of Artists.
