Fomin Nikita Petrovich

Fomin Nikita Petrovich (born on 1949, Leningrad).

Painter, an author of monumental works. Graduated from Institute of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, where he studied under A.A. Mylnickov’s studio. Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1979), Member of Russian Union of Artist since 1975. Participated in creation of mosaics and frescos in Metropolitan stations, hotels, St. Petersburg temples and other cities of Russia. One of the painters having taken part in the ornamental decoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. Since 1975 gives lectures in Institute of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture, Professor of Arts and Composition Department. His works are in the Museum of History of Moscow, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Scientific and Research Museum of Arts Academy (Saint Petersburg), the State Museum of St. Petersburg History, as well as in Pinacotheca Kommunale (Ravenna, Italy).
