Khlomov Nestor Vasilievich

Khlomov Nestor Vasilievich (1928, Kzul-Orda – 1988, Zagorsk).

A talented Russian painter. His style is close to modernist manner of the end of the XX century. A master of extraordinary bright impression. Worked in a genre of lyrical landscapes and thematic painting. 
Made several trips to Arkhangelsk region and created a series of wonderful landscapes of Russia’s North.
In 1957 became a 1st Prize Winner of the World Youth Festival in Moscow. 
Studied at the Art school in Moscow (1944-49), was influenced by S. Gerasimov and I.Gorokhov. Graduated from Zagorsk State Teachers Training Institute (1952), where was a friend to P.I.Neradovskii, T.N.Shevchenko, R.R.Falk.
More than 30 years had worked in Zagorsk Art Workshop of the Mosoblhudozhfond of the USSR, following the traditions of Osmerkin and Yuon.
Participated in republican and regional art exhibitions from 1954. Became a member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR in 1964.
Khlomov’s personal exhibition was held in Moscow in 1969.
Artist’s works are presented in many Russian state art museums.
