Churlenis Mikhalous Konstantinas (1875, Varena, nowadays is Lithuanian SSR, - 1911, Pustelnik Minski, nowadays is Poland).

Lithuanian artist and composer, forefather of the professional Lithuanian music. Studied painting in Ya. Kauzick’s art school (1902-05), and art college (1905) under K. Stabrovskiy in Warsaw. Participated in Warsaw and Moscow exhibitions since 1905. Received institution in music at Warsaw Music Institute and Leipzig Conservatory. Member of "World of Art" Association (since 1911). Churlenis M.K. known as a representative of symbolism. His works are displayed in the Kaunas Art Museum named after Churlenis.
