Soviet artist. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. In 1934-1938 he studied at the Leningrad Art and Pedagogical School. In 1938 he entered the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the All-Russian Academy of Arts, where he studied with M.D. Bernstein, D.I. Kiplik. In 1939 he was drafted into the Red Army. In 1945 he returned to study at the institute. In 1950 he graduated from the Repin Institute of Fine Arts in the workshop of Viktor Oreshnikov. In 1951-1953 he studied in the creative workshop of B.V. Ioganson. Since 1937 - participant of republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. The author's works are in the collection of the State Russian Museum and other museums, as well as in private collections.
