Kostinsky Petr Ivanovich 1916 (Maykop) - 2003.
Soviet painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1939 he graduated from the Art College of Rostov-on-Don. In 1940 he entered the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Studying was interrupted by World War II. After graduating from the Institute in 1950, he came to Moscow and joined the Moscow Union of Artists.
Member of numerous all-Union, republican, Moscow and foreign exhibitions. Personal exhibition was held in 2001 in Moscow. Paintings by P.I. Kostinsky were exhibited and acquired in Japan, Canada, Italy, the USA, Germany, France, England, and South Korea. The famous American pianist Van Cliburn acquired several paintings by the artist in his own collection.
