Ulupov Mark Ivanovich

Graphic artist, painter, Illustrator, teacher. Member of the Union of journalists of the USSR, member of the Soviet Union, member of the MOSH, member of the Art Fund of the USSR. Since 1992-member of the international Association of artists at UNESCO, Honored worker of culture. Honored worker of culture (1994). In 1941, he entered the art and graphic faculty of the Moscow art teacher’s Institute. A year later, he was drafted into the army, took part in battles on the front line, made drawings published in the military press. He was wounded, shell-shocked, and awarded battle honours. After the end of the war, he continued his studies at the Institute, graduating in 1948. In the same year, he started participating in exhibitions. In 1952, he began teaching at the Moscow regional art school «Memory of 1905», and in 1956 at the city art school #1 on Kropotkinskaya street. Author of the original pedagogical methodology. He collaborated with various periodicals (newspaper «Trud», magazines «Around the world», «Culture and life» and many others). In 1960, he joined the Union of journalists. The book of S. Baryshnikov "Mark Ivanovich Ulupov" was published in 2010.
