Uzbyakov Yuriy Nikolayevich (1916–1982).

Soviet graphic artist, cartoonist, postcard artist. The first caricature was published in the March issue of Crocodile magazine in 1932. Graduated from Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. He drew cartoons for the magazines Lapot, Physical Culture and Sports, Atheist, Spark, and Crocodile. After the Great Patriotic War, during which the artist painted for a front-line newspaper, he became a recognized master of Soviet caricature. With the release of the children's comic magazine "Funny Pictures" he became its regular author. He was a participant in many exhibitions of Soviet caricatures (both here and abroad). The author of illustrations for the books of K. Chukovsky, S. Marshak, A. Barto, S. Mikhalkov.
