Khalip Yakov Nikolaevich

An outstanding master of Soviet photography, a famous photographer and photo artist, a student of Alexander Rodchenko. He graduated from VGIK, specializing in "cameraman". In 1938, he participated in the evacuation of I. D. Papanin's expedition from the drifting station "North Pole", and created a series of photo essays. In 1938 - 1941, he was the leading photojournalist for the magazine "USSR in Construction", and the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Soviet Photo". In 1941 - 1945, he was a correspondent for the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda", Sovinformburo. In 1946 - 1954, he worked for the magazines "Ogonyok", "Smena", since 1954 - for the magazine "Soviet Union", and collaborated with the newspapers "Pravda", "Izvestia". Works by Khalip Ya.N. are presented in the collection of the Multimedia Art Museum and many other museums and photo galleries in Russia and abroad.
