Yavlenskiy Aleksey Georgiyevich (1864, Tver province –1941, Wiesbaden).

An expressionist artist who was born and raised in Russia, but became a famous artist in Germany, where he lived most of his life. Features of the artist Aleksey Yavlensky’s creativity: the artist went through a passion for avant-garde movements - post-impressionism, cubism, Fauvism. Never imitating or blindly using tricks, Yavlensky tried on different visual languages ​​to his view of the world. Yavlensky is an expressionist in the New Art Association and the Blue Horseman: bright, contrasting colors, simplified forms without volume, painted planes flooded with a clean tone, and the desire to express inner feelings with pictorial means.
