Yakovlev Andrey Alekseevich (1934-2012)
Russian Soviet painter and graphic artist. People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. For a series of works devoted to the North, he was awarded the silver medal of the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements "For Merits in the Development of the National Economy", the medal "For the construction of the BAM" and the State Prize of the RSFSR named after I. Repin. In 2004, the State Russian Museum hosted a personal exhibition of the artist, timed to coincide with his 70th birthday. The works of Yakovlev Andrey Alekseevich are in the State Russian Museum, in museums and private collections in Russia, Italy, Great Britain, Japan, Norway, France and other countries.
