Monumental sculptor. People's Artist of the USSR, Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, Union of Artists of the USSR, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the Lenin Prize and the State Prize of the RSFSR. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Repin. Notable works: monuments to Pushkin, Lenin, Chekhov, Vera Mukhina, Ulanova, "The Victorious Warrior", Sailors and creators of the Russian fleet in St. Petersburg, portraits of V.M. Bekhtereva, Yu.M. Yuryeva, G.S. Titova, A.S. Yakovleva, G.V. Sviridova, N.K. Cherkasov, the memorial "Heroic Defenders of Leningrad", the composition "Peace" in the Peace Park of Nagasaki. He participated in numerous exhibitions, including solo ones, in Russia and abroad. His works are exhibited in leading museums in Russia and abroad.
