There was a small porcelain factory in Polonnoye. The founder is entrepreneur Moyesy Brichkin. Cast "adornments, trinkets, all kinds of figurines." In 1924, the so-called ship-savings production and credit partnership was founded in Polon. The main task of this partnership was the cooperation of single handicraftsmen. In 1927 the collective was formed into an independent statutory industrial artel called "Ceramik" and this name remained until 1956. By this time (1927) up to 35 people were already working here. Since September 1956, the plant has become a state enterprise and received the name: "Polonsk Artistic Ceramics Plant" (ZHK).
