Famous architect of German origin, master of turning and carving. Came from Prussia at the invitation of the Baryatinsky family in the late 1860s. Together with Ippolit Monighetti, he was engaged in the reconstruction of the Maryino estate in the village of Ivanovskoye, Lgovsky district, Kursk province. For the first time he opened a workshop here for turning and carved products. Various elements from Scholz's workshop were used in the decoration during the reconstruction of the estates of Maryino, Kachanovka, Filimonov's house in Rylsk, etc. Orders for furnishing the rooms were carried out.
