The exhibition called “From long journey…” will be opened in the exhibition hall of “Sovcom” gallery on the 1st of April. Works of museum level will be presented in the exposition, many of these works have not been presented for several decades. These are works of Alexander Benois, Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, Leonard Turzhansky, Konstantin Gorbatov.
According to tradition, you will have the opportunity to view works of classics of the Soviet painting: Yuri Kugach, Petr Ossovsky, Aleksey Tkachev and Sergei Tkachev, Nikolai Romadin and many other outstanding painters and drawing artists.
Most of paintings presented in the exposition of the exhibition were removed from Russia USSR by native, European and American collectors, and now, they came back to the motherland after long journey.
Every painting is connected with some interesting story. We search such stories in recollections of painters, centuries-long publications, study archive photos and other materials. We write about such findings on our page in social network Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/sovcom/).
