The Vyacheslav Kubarev exhibition. From April 4 to April 30, 2019.

Vyacheslav Grigoryevich Kubarev (1941-2018).

Holder of the title "Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation". Recipient of the Leninsky Komsomol Prize.

Kubarev was born on January 25, 1941, in the town of Livny in the Oryol region. He went to the Livny school No. 1 and at the same time studied art with Aleksandr Nikolayevich Selishchev at the Art Studio that Selishchev organized. After school Vyacheslav Grigoryevich entered the Arts and Graphics Department of the Oryol State Teachers Institute. There he was taught by Professor Andrey Ilyich Kurnakov. After Kubarev's fourth year there, noticing the rapid development of his mastery of art, Kurnakov helped the talented student to transfer for further studies to the third year clas of the Moscow State Surikov Art Institute. There Vyacheslav Grigoryevich was taught by Professor Viktor Grigorievich Tsyplakov. In 1967 he graduated from the art institute. In 1967-1968 V. Kubarev taught at the Moscow Art School attached to the V. I. Surikov institute. From 1968 to 1971 he interned at the graphic arts workshop of the Academy of Arts of the USSR headed by Professor Yevgeniy Adolfovich Kibrik. Since 1965 Vyacheslav Grigoryevich kept participating in republic-wide, national, foreign and international exhibitions. From 1965 to 1980 he travelled all over the country, bringing from these travels a lot of pencil drawings, studies and sketches impressive by their power of documentary observation.
