Just SOVCOM made popular “artists of sever style” of 1960-es and now sold familiar to their style but with tendency to “country” Vladimir Stozharov and his “Girl with ladle” was sold for 120 thousand dollars. Very sever “Nude” by Victor Popkov was sold for 100 thousand dollars. The main record was the still life by Aleksandr Deineka, dated 1947 “Window in the studio”.

It was sold for 250 thousand dollars –it had been never so expensive. Even in London “At Russian Sotheby’s” the work “Relay race» by Aleksandr Deineka was sold only for 42 thousand dollars. Certainly Deineka is one of the first Soviet names. But anyway you have to think how much now for example do the paintings of seventies of which decorated one of the shops “Arbat Prestizh” cost? Million dollars? Two? The owner, collector Vladimir Nekrasov bought this painting at great quantities ten years ago – obviously in that times not even for profit but for his caprice.
