Brey Andrey Andreevich

Soviet artist, graphic artist and illustrator. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He worked in the field of easel and book graphics, was engaged in lithography, linocut. Since 1926 - participant of exhibitions. Member and exhibitor of the Association of Graphic Artists (1926–1928), Moscow Union of Artists. Participated in exhibitions: emerging young artists in Moscow (1934), the All-Union Art Exhibition "Industry of Socialism" (1939), exhibitions of Soviet graphics in New York (1940) and Soviet art in Florida (1945). Collaborated with the magazines World Illustration, Komsomolets, Searchlight, Krasnaya Niva, Smena, Pioneer, Murzilka, Screen, Funny Pictures. For more than fifty years he has illustrated books for the Moscow publishing houses Molodaya Gvardiya, Detgiz, and Detsky Mir. Creativity is represented in many museum collections, among them - the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. A. S. Pushkin and other museums.
