Gurariy Samariy Mikhailovich

Soviet photographer. Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942. In the early thirties he studied photography in the illustration department of the Izvestia newspaper. Since 1934 he has been a professional photojournalist. During the Second World War, he was a front-line photojournalist for Izvestia. He filmed on many fronts, and also filmed historical events, such as the Parade on Red Square on November 7, 1941, the Yalta and Potsdam conferences, and the Victory Parade in Moscow on June 24, 1945.
