Ganrio (Samuilova) Nelly Nikolaevna (1926–2017)
Sculptor, porcelain artist. In 1946 - 1952 she studied at the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, in the group of sculptor M.G. Manizer. In 1955, she completed a three-meter sculpture “Pilot” for the Main Pavilion of VDNKh. She carried out her early work at the Riga Porcelain Factory in the mid-1950s, and later collaborated with the Dmitrov Porcelain Factory in the village of Verbilki, where her husband, the sculptor and author of forms Yuri Borisovich Ganrio, also worked. Since 1956, he has participated in exhibitions at various levels, including international ones. In 1960 she joined the Union of Artists.
The works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Kuskovo Estate Museum, the State Pushkin Museum and other museums, as well as in private collections.
