Dubinskiy David Aleksandrovich (1920 - 1960)
Soviet graphic artist.
Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of arts (1958), winner of the State prize (1951). He studied at the drawing Studio of K. P. Chemko (1938-1939) and the Moscow State Art Institute (1940-1946). He worked in the field of easel and book graphics in the techniques of pen drawing, gouache, watercolors, ink and tempera. He became famous as an Illustrator of works of domestic and foreign literature in the publishing houses "Detgiz", "Goslitizdat", as well as his cartoons were published in the magazines "Crocodile", "Change", etc.
For illustrations to the story of A. p. Gaidar "Chuk and Gek"(1949-1950) in 1952 awarded the State prize of the USSR, he was also awarded the bronze medal of the World exhibition of 1958 in Brussels and the silver medal of the Academy of Arts (1957).
