Zaitsev Vyacheslav Mikhailovich

Theatrical costume designer, fashion designer. Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Member of the Russian Academy of Humanities and Arts, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor of the Department of Clothing and Footwear Modeling of the Moscow Textile University, Honorary Citizen of the cities of Ivanovo and Paris. Graduated from the Moscow Textile Institute, Faculty of Applied Arts (1962). He is the creator of the first Fashion Theater in the country. He created costumes for theater and stage artists, members of sports delegations, world champions in figure skating. He worked on the creation of costumes for famous musicals and performances around the world. Author of several books on fashion issues ("Such a changeable fashion", "This many-sided world of fashion"). Awards: Medal "For Labor Valor", Order "Badge of Honor", Medal "Veteran of Labor", State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art in 1995, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" IV degree, Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field literature and art 2003. His works were exhibited in prestigious art galleries, took part in exhibitions in Russia, USA, Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Poland, Finland, India, Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Brazil, Belgium and etc.
