Kornev Igor Aleksandrovich

Honored Artist of Russia (2002). Born in the city of Arzamas. He graduated from the HCU (1947−1952). He worked in the field of genre paintings, portraits. Author of pictures on the theme of national memory of the Great Patriotic War. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1962. Since 1959, he has been a regular participant in regional exhibitions. The exponent of the zonal (“Big Volga” 1964,1967,1970,1974,1980,1985,1991,1998), republican (Moscow 1960,1965,1967; Tula 1977), All-Union (Moscow 1972), All-Russian (Moscow 1999,2000) art exhibitions. Personal exhibition: N. Novgorod, 2002. The works of the author are in many regional museums and private collections.
