Kononov Vladimir Gavrilovich

Soviet graphic artist, poster artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Author of numerous film posters and political posters. Kononov worked mainly in the genres of political posters and movie posters. An outstanding master of the art of the poster, he was awarded many prizes and medals at various competitions and exhibitions. The circulation posters of V. G. Kononov are kept in the State Central Museum of Contemporary History, the Russian State Library (RSL), the State Historical Museum, the Moscow Museum of Cinema, the State Public Library in St. Petersburg, in many private Russian and foreign collections.
