Kontratovich Ernest Rudolfovich

Painter, was born in Austria-Hungary. People's Artist of the USSR (1991). One of the founders of the Transcarpathian school of painting. In 1932 she graduated from the Uzhgorod teacher's seminary. attended a very urban public art school-studio founded by A. Erdeli and Y. Bokshay. Since 1934 - a member of the Association of Fine Arts of Subcarpathian Rus. He created a substantiated direction of expressionism, which reflects the themes of nature, folklore and the folk life of Transcarpathia. The artist's works, which are now in the museum, gallery and collection collections in Ukraine, Slovakia, Russia.
