Kuznetsov Arkady Maksimovich

Painter. Teacher. Member of the Union of Soviet Artists since 1934. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 1919, he was appointed director of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Provincial Museum. Since 1928, A. M. Kuznetsov, being a member of the Ivanovo-Voznesensky branch of the AHRR, became a teacher of Art Courses, on the basis of which in 1930 the Art and Pedagogical College was opened, later renamed the Art School. The students of A. M. Kuznetsov at the Ivanovo Art School were M. S. Ageev, K. A. Prokhorov, M. N. Troitsky, S. N. Troitsky and others. From 1944 to 1948 was chairman of the Ivanovo Regional Union of Soviet Artists. Later he was invited to teach at the Moscow Art Institute. V. I. Surikov. The works of A. M. Kuznetsov are in the funds of the Ivanovo Regional Art Museum, in private collections in Russia and abroad. He took part in exhibitions of the Ivanovo-Voznesensky branch of the Academy of Arts, artists, teachers from schools, "Artists of the older generation of the RSFSR", exhibited at regional, interregional, all-Union exhibitions. The fund collection of the Plessky Museum-Reserve contains two works by the master.
