Puzyrkov Viktor Grigorievich (1918, Ekaterinoslav - 1999, Kyiv)

Soviet, Ukrainian artist, painter, teacher. People's Artist of the USSR (1979). Laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR (1948, 1950), State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T. G. Shevchenko (1976). He received the basics of art education at a children's out-of-school center, which was supervised by the painter and teacher, director of the Dnepropetrovsk Art School M. N. Panin. In 1936 he graduated from secondary school and in the same year he entered the Dnepropetrovsk Art School. Since 1938 - student at the Kyiv Art Institute. Since 1946 - member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1947 - participant of All-Union exhibitions. Since 1948 - teacher and head of the painting department at the Kiev Art Institute. In 1950-1956, he taught drawing, painting and composition as an assistant professor. Since 1957 - professor at the Department of Painting and Composition. Since 1956 - head of the educational and creative easel painting workshop. For more than 50 years of teaching activity, he trained a whole galaxy of artists. The artist’s works are in leading art museums in Ukraine and Russia, as well as in private collections.
