Trofimov Vikenti Pavlovich

Trofimov Vikenti Pavlovich (1878, Perm region – 1970, Moscow reg.).

In 1899 graduated from Moscow institute named after Stroganov. In 1918 became a member of Moscow painters’ union. Since 1906 to 1912 took part in the exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Italy, France. After the war he was one of the leading painters of the realism movement in Siberia, was a chief of the Omsk branch of the “New Siberia” union. Participated in wall-painting of Troitse-Sergieva lavra, main stairs in Arkhangelskoe, private house of governor Motovskiy, White hall in Mossovet, and hall in the Architecture Museum. In 1930s his most popular works (“Our successors” and others) was printed out into the number of post cards by AKhRR. In 1932 he got the “Kommunist-way worker” rank. His works are preserved in Voronezh regional museum, in the art-historical museum of Zagorsk, and in the Architecture Museum named after Schusiev in Moscow.
