Fedorov Boris Fedorovich

Fedorov studied at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad. He was the only artist who took part in the assault of the Reichstag, Berlin in May 1945 and sketched from nature the moment when the red flag was run up over the building. He specialized in military painting and regularly participated in exhibitions at city, region and union level, including the All-Union Exhibitions of 1951 and 1955 in Moscow and the Sovetskaya Rossiya exhibition in 1960. Fedorov’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in the Central Museum of Armed Forces in Moscow.
