Lodygin Sergey Pavlovich

Lodygin Sergey Pavlovich (1893–1961).

Graphic artist. He studied at the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineers. He published drawings in the magazines "Argus", "The Sun of Russia", "Satyricon", "Capital and Manor"; did drawings of advertisements. After 1917 he drew agitation posters in Saratov. In 1918 he taught graphics in the Saratov Central Studio, at the same time had his own graphic studio. In 1920 he worked in the political department of the Reserve Army. Then he moved to Rostov-on-Don, where he wrote scenery for village theaters, made out the city for the holidays, worked as a decorator at the Interinsky Theater of Sorin. In 1922 he moved to Moscow, where he again worked as an illustrator.
