Soviet animal sculptor. A close friend of the animal artist Vasily Alekseevich Vatagin, who prompted him to artistic depiction of animals. Studied at the Academy of Arts as a sculptor under V. Bogatyrev and A. Matveev. Since 1936, Vorobyov has been working with the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory. The works of B. Ya. Vorobyov are kept in the funds of many famous museums, in particular, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of Ceramics and the "Kuskovo Estate of the 18th century", the State Historical-Architectural, Art and Landscape Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno", in the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
