Aronov Lev Iliich

Soviet artist, graphic artist. Studied at the Leningrad School for the Encouragement of Arts under Rylov, Vakhromeev, Bobyshev, Shchuko, Svarog. In 1933 he became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. In the 1960s, he did a lot of linocut. The themes of family and motherhood run through all the artist's work and are his main motive. L.I. Aronov was closely acquainted and communicated with the artists N.M. Romadin, V.N. Baksheev, V.A. Favorsky, I.I. Mashkov, A.V. Lentulov, R.R. Falk, A.A. Osmerkin and others. The works of L.I. Aronov are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the engraving study of the M.I. Pushkin and many other museums in Russia, as well as in private collections in Germany and France.
