Berggolts Richard Aleksandrovich

Academician (1905). Full member of the Academy of Arts (1912). Studied in Naples under the supervision of F. Peluzo, in Paris under A.P. Bogolubov, in Dusseldorf under E. Dukker, then during 1888-1889 at the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Known as a member and chairman of the Society of Russian Watercolorists. Participated in exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, Association of Itinerant Art Exhibitions, Society of Russian Watercolorists and the St. Petersburg Society of Artists. The artist’s works can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Museum of the Academy of Arts and many regional museum collections.
