Grigoreva Ekaterina Evgenevna (1928, Moscow - 2010).
The well-known Moscow painter Ekaterina Grigoryeva studied at the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute where F. Modorov and V. Tsyplakov were her teachers (1946-1952). Since 1953 she has regularly participated in Moscow and international exhibitions. Since 1957 became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. She works in themed painting, portrait, andscape and still life genres. The artist took part in all three exhibitions of famous “Group of sixteen” (1969, 1975, 1985). In 1989 participated in the exhibition Moscow-London-Moscow, in 1990 – in Moscow-Washington-Moscow (the Tretyakov State Gallery). The artist’s one-man shows were held in Moscow (1993, 1998, 2003). E.E. Grigoreva’s artworks are kept in the Tretyakov State Gallery, the Russian State museum, Tsaritsino Museum in Moscow, in all big regional museums, German, USA and England galleries, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
