Painter and artist of monumental and decorative art. He studied at the drawing school Of the society for the encouragement of Arts under N. K. Roerich, A. A. Rylov, and N. S. Samokish. Since 1915 – participant of exhibitions. He exhibited his works at exhibitions Of the Repin Association of artists (1929), the Zhar-Tsvet society (1929), and others. Since 1922, he moved to Moscow, draws posters, fulfills orders. His illustrations to the works of N. V. Gogol and A. S. Pushkin are particularly famous. His landscapes are becoming more and more popular. The artist becomes a participant in many Metropolitan exhibitions. He is fond of decorative painting. At this time, he created paintings "Autumn", a series of "Old Russian architecture" (1919-1920)," Hopak "(1928-1929)," Holiday on a rural street " (1937), imbued with optimism, sincere fun, and love of life. He executed painting plans for dioramas in the State Historical Museum, the Museum of the history of Moscow. But he is most famous as one of the main artists who completed the restoration of the panorama of academician F. Rubo "Heroic defense of Sevastopol in 1953-56".
