Lyatskiy Yefim Elmovich (1929–1977)
Painter. In 1945–1953 he studied at the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial College named after V. I. Mukhina at the department of monumental and decorative painting with Alexander Lyubimov, Konstantin Belokurov, Kirill Johansen, Ivan Stepashkin. He graduated from the school in the workshop of Anatoly Kazantsev, the thesis is a monumental panel "Spartak" for the foyer of the Leningrad cinema with the same name, made in kind. After graduation, he worked in the workshops of the Leningrad branch of the Art Fund of the RSFSR. He was engaged in monumental as well as easel painting, mainly in the landscape genre. He taught at the Leningrad Theater Institute. He participated in exhibitions since 1955, exhibiting his works together with the works of leading masters of fine art of Leningrad. In 1957 he was admitted to the Leningrad Union of Artists. The works of E. E. Lyatsky are in museums and private collections in Russia, Finland, Japan, Germany, France and other countries.
